Copracetic
For those with poor portmanteau-deciphering skills–or just lacking a lexicon to recognize the roots–let me break this bad boy down for you.
“Copra” (from the Greek, κοπριά, literally meaning dung or excrement) is an adjective prefix when referring to something involving feces. ie: “copraphilia” is sex somehow involving shit; “coprophagia” is ; “coprolite” is fossilized dinosaur droppings, etc.
“Copacetic” (or “Copasetic”; both are correct) [etymology unknown] means that something is satisfactory or pleasant. ie: “everything’s just peachy” is a copasetic catchphrase.
So...
If if something is copracetic, it's really shitty.
